Only two of the fastest-growing Spanish export products posted a triple digit gain from 2010 to 2014: the explosives and pyrotechnics product category as well as railway and tram equipment.

Listed below in descending order are the fastest-growing Spanish export products. Shown within parentheses is the percentage increase in a product category’s exports from 2010 to 2014.

  2. Railway, tram equipment: Up by 133.0% ($2,061,243,000)
  3. Leather, animal gut articles: Up by 88.5% ($1,296,035,000)
  4. Oil: Up by 83.7% ($22,997,451,000)
  5. Ores, slag, ash: Up by 82.8% ($2,048,501,000)
  6. Clothing (not knit or crochet): Up by 76.0% ($7,426,881,000)
  7. Tin: Up by 75.7% ($29,667,000)
  8. Headgear: Up by 72.3% ($104,858,000)
  9. Other manufactured products: Up by 67.9% ($737,914,000)
  10. Cereal, milk preparations: Up by 62.4% ($1,723,005,000)

Safety fuses, detonating fuse and percussion caps were the major factors behind Spain’s fastest-growing export product category, explosives and pyrotechnics.

Sales of exported railway locomotives were the top gainers for the second-place railway and tram category.

Suitcases, camera cases and handbags led the leather, animal gut articles category to its third-place finish.

Crude petroleum had the top sales increases for Spain’s exported oil.
