From a continental perspective, European countries drank the highest dollar worth of imported coffee during 2019 with purchases costing $17.8 billion or 59% of the global total. In second place were North American importers at 23.6% while 13.4% of imported coffee was delivered to buyers in Asia.
Smaller percentages arrived in Oceania (1.7%) led by Australia, Latin America (1.1%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, and Africa (also 1.1%).
