From a continental perspective, customers in Europe bought the highest dollar worth of imported coffee during 2022 with purchases costing $26.4 billion or 55.2% of the global total. In second place were North American importers at 24.7% while another 14.7% of imported coffee was delivered to buyers in Asia.
Smaller percentages arrived in Latin America (2.1%) excluding Mexico but including the Caribbean, Oceania (1.7%) led by Australia and New Zealand, then Africa (1.5%).
