The overall value of imports into the United States provided by its Asian competitor rose by an average 3.3% year over year from 2023 when America’s purchases from Chinese suppliers were valued at $448 billion.
On the other hand, the US exported $143.5 billion worth of products to China in 2024. That dollar amount approached one-third (31%) compared to America’s total spending on all commodities imported from China, declining by a -2.9% dip from 2023.
Consequently, America incurred a -$319.1 billion deficit trading goods with China during 2024 up from -$300.2 billion in red ink for 2023.
Showcased below are the 100 most valuable imported and exported products exchanged by the United States and China during 2024.
This research is based on statistics using detailed four-digit Harmonized Tariff System codes.
Information in this article is presented in two searchable document databases for the top 100 products traded between the two North American countries.
